Manchester United: Lisandro Martínez's Stroke of Bad Luck
The Argentine defender returned to Manchester United after being out for seven weeks, played for twenty minutes, and suffered a muscular injury. A tough moment.
The Argentine Lisandro Martínez, center-back for Manchester United, will be out for a month due to a thigh muscle injury.
Lisandro returned to the field this weekend in the draw against Brentford, after seven weeks out due to a knee injury. The Argentine came on for the final twenty minutes as a substitute for Victor Lindelof, who also got injured and will be out for another month.
This season has been a nightmare for Lisandro in terms of injuries, as he has barely been able to participate in eleven matches throughout the campaign. He suffered a foot injury, the same area that kept him sidelined for two months at the end of the previous season, and was out from September until early January. He briefly returned and played several matches before getting injured again with a knee problem that has kept him out for over a month.
Lisandro and Lindelof's injuries add to the defensive absences of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.
At the moment, Manchester United sits sixth in the Premier League, eleven points behind the fourth position. In the FA Cup semifinals, which will be held at Wembley in ten days, Lisandro will not be available. The 'Red Devils' will face Coventry City from the Championship (Second Division).
