Guardiola: "If We Don't Beat Tottenham, We Won't Win the Premier"
The Manchester City coach knows that the only way to lift the Premier League title is by beating Tottenham.
The battle for the Premier League is at its peak, as Manchester City will face Tottenham on May 14th at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a match that was pending since matchday 34 of the competition.
To this end, City's manager, Josep Guardiola, was frank with the media, stating that winning the Premier League depends on them and that if they don't beat Tottenham, they'll lose any chance.
"As a coach, I have a theory that everything we've done so far is over. Fifteen goals are good and they give us the opportunity to still be here, but that doesn't give us anything extra for the start of the match (vs Tottenham)," Pep affirmed.
"In short, if we don't win, we're not going to win the Premier League, and that's what we have to do."
Currently, Manchester City is in second place in the overall table with 85 points, one below Arsenal, which is in first place with 86 points but with one more match played than Guardiola's team. That's why Guardiola says that if they don't beat Tottenham, they won't win because he doesn't trust that Arsenal will stumble on the last matchday.
