Gio Reyna Lands in the Premier League
The American international arrives on loan at Nottingham Forest until the end of the season in search of the playing time he didn't have at Borussia Dortmund.
Nottingham Forest confirmed on Wednesday the loan of Gio Reyna from Borussia Dortmund until the end of the season.
Reyna, born in Sunderland but an international with the United States, has played fourteen games for Borussia this season, but most of them coming off the bench.
In need of playing time, the American arrives at Forest, a team fighting to avoid relegation from the Premier League and currently holding a two-point advantage over the drop zone.
Reyna was signed by Borussia in 2019 from New York City. With the Germans, he has played 121 games, but at 21, he has lost his starting position and with the arrival of players like Jadon Sancho in the winter, he has decided to leave.
With the United States, Reyna has played 24 games and scored seven goals, as well as participating in the CONCACAF Nations League, which his country won in 2020 and 2023.
