VIDEO | Ligue 1 Highlights: Nantes vs Lyon
Lyon achieved an epic comeback against Nantes as visitors, winning 1-3 in a match that was largely dominated by the home team. However, the visiting coach, Pierre Sage, shook up the game with his substitutions and awakened "The Lions", who secured the victory with goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Malick Fofana, and Orban. Matthis Abline scored for "The Canaries".
In the first half, Nantes took the lead with a goal from Matthis Abline in the 16th minute, controlling much of the match against an unrecognizable Lyon that only showed their best towards the end of the second half. In the second half, the substitutions of Rayan Cherki and Malick Fofana revitalized the visiting attack, allowing the comeback.
Lacazette started the comeback with a goal in the 75th minute, capitalizing on a mistake from the rival goalkeeper who left the ball loose for the French forward to send it into the back of the net. Later, Malick Fofana scored the second for Lyon and Orban sealed the victory with another goal in the 90+7th minute.
With this result, Olympique de Lyon consolidates its position in tenth place, while Nantes will face serious relegation problems.
