Keylor Navas Announces his Departure from PSG
Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas announced his departure from PSG through social media.
"It has been an honor to defend this badge in this incredible stadium," stated the international 'Tico' goalkeeper in the Instagram post where he communicated his decision. "There are still objectives ahead but I didn't want to miss the opportunity to bid farewell to what has been my home," added the 37-year-old player.
Navas joined PSG from Real Madrid in 2019 and played in the UEFA Champions League final in 2020, which the Parisian team lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich.
From 2021, the signing of Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma by PSG reduced his prominence in the Parisian goal, and in January 2023, he was loaned to English club Nottingham Forest until the end of the last season.
In the current season, he has only played three league matches and two cup matches.
"Every second I've enjoyed at the Parc des Princes has been wonderful," assured Navas, who has also played a total of 114 matches for his national team.
