Memphis Depay, Back to Ligue 1?
Although he is happy at Atlético Madrid, the Dutch forward is considering a possible return to the French league. He has left the door open.
Memphis Depay is under contract with Atlético de Madrid until June 30, 2025. However, the Dutch forward could be one of the players to leave the rojiblanco club this summer, with Ligue 1 potentially being his destination, judging by his own words.

"It's not impossible," Depay said in an interview with Prime Video Sport about a potential return to the French league, where he previously played for Olympique Lyon from 2017 to 2021.
He knows the league well, calling it "not an easy competition." At OL, he made history by reaching the semifinals of the Champions League in the 2019-2020 season, eliminating strong opponents such as Juventus and Manchester City.
Although the rojiblanco forward stated that he is "in the right place," referring to Atlético de Madrid, he left the door open to a potential departure. His departure is not ruled out by the club, not because of Depay's performance, which is consistent, but due to his frequent injuries.
For now, he is under contract and his future is tied to Atlético de Madrid for at least one more season. However, his name is likely on the list of possible departures for next summer. The door to Ligue 1 remains open.
