Thiago Motta the Next Target for FC Barcelona?
With the possible sacking of Xavi Hernández from the FC Barcelona bench, the Blaugranas are reportedly conducting a swift search for their next coach. Candidates include Hansi Flick, Rafa Márquez, Thomas Tuchel, and now, according to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Thiago Motta, the current coach of Bologna.
Motta, who had a stint at the Blaugrana club as a player during Joan Laporta's first presidency, has had a spectacular season as a coach, leading Bologna to Champions League positions, ahead of teams like Juventus, Roma, Lazio, and others.
However, the Blaugranas might face competition in the race for Motta, as Juventus is also eyeing the young Italian coach to replace Allegri.
Barcelona thus adds another name to an ever-growing list, without yet making a decision on Xavi's future, but with a waiting list for the Blaugrana coaching role.
