Real Madrid Promises the 15th Champions During Their Celebration at Cibeles
Real Madrid celebrated their 36th La Liga title this Sunday in festivities that began with the trophy presentation by Pedro Rocha, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, and ended, four hours later at Cibeles, with promises to return on June 2nd with the 15th Champions League.
Eight days after securing the La Liga title and following Real Madrid's refusal, out of "respect," to receive it at Los Cármenes against a Granada side that was relegated on Saturday, the white team was able to lay hands on their 36th La Liga title.
A first official stop where the talk of the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund on June 1st was already on the agenda. Also in the words of Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid, and Nacho Fernández, captain.
"It's a league of perseverance and sacrifice, a new impetus for the next challenge because history obliges us to keep winning. The team has just staged another magical night at the Santiago Bernabéu that enlarges the pride of Madridistas and leads us to the final in London, on June 1st. Let there be no doubt that the players will leave their souls to return to this home with the fifteenth European Cup," Florentino stated in his speech.
"Hopefully, we can come back here in a few days. It will be incredible, but for now, let's enjoy the moment and the future will decide," expressed Nacho.
After fulfilling the protocol, the players came out to the balcony of the Town Hall, where Jude Bellingham and Toni Kroos expressed confidence that Real Madrid will conquer the fifteenth at Wembley, with strong messages in their first encounter with the fans in the league celebration.
Additionally, Luka Modric was moved by chants asking him to stay, and the Ballon d'Or was requested for Vinícius.
Finally, they arrived at Cibeles where both Modric and Camavinga promised to return with the 15th "Orejona," the fans asked for Nacho and Modric to renew their contracts with Real Madrid, and where Ancelotti once again left another memorable image.
After celebrating with the fans, Nacho was in charge of dressing the Goddess Cibeles with the club's scarf and flag.
After placing the club's flag and scarves on her, Nacho kissed her repeatedly and celebrated the moment with gestures of emotion for fulfilling a dream.
Thus ended the celebration of Real Madrid's 36th La Liga title, in which the players pledged to return on June 2nd with the 15th UEFA Champions League.
