Assistant referee Guadalupe Porras stole the spotlight during the Betis vs Athletic Club de Bilbao match after colliding with a television camera while sprinting back to the halfway line following Chimy Ávila's goal in the 13th minute of the LaLiga game.

Porras received medical attention from Betis' medical staff and had to be replaced due to the accident and injury. Fourth official Castellanos stepped in for Guadalupe, who was later taken to the hospital.

The match proceeded as usual, with fans at the Benito Villamarin applauding the assistant referee as she left the field. Betis went on to secure a 3-1 victory at home.
