Isco Renews Betis Contract Through 2027
Isco Alarcón, who joined Betis last July until the end of this season, has extended his deal with the green-and-white team until June 30, 2027, as announced by the Seville club on Thursday.
The Malaga-born player, turning 32 on April 21, had repeatedly expressed his comfort at Betis and showcased impressive performances. His aim was to extend the contract, something that the club had also acknowledged.
Following his renewal, the Spanish player emphasized, 'Betis welcomed me warmly from day one, offered me trust when I needed it. I'm truly grateful for the affection, support, and belief in me. So, I'm thrilled and really happy.'
Last summer, the Malaga native aimed to rejuvenate his career, joining forces with Betis' coach, Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, who he had a successful stint with at Malaga between 2011 and 2013. This led to his move to Real Madrid and his international debut for the Spanish national team, playing 38 matches.
'The atmosphere at Benito Villamarín is always incredible,' he noted, expressing nothing but gratitude towards his club and the Betis fans. He added, 'Hopefully, this beautiful relationship will lead to great successes,' concluding his thoughts on extending his stay with the green-and-white club.
