Boca Juniors embarked on a crazy journey to make their debut in the Copa Sudamericana
Boca Juniors will make their debut in the Copa Sudamericana against Nacional Potosí in Bolivia, but to reach their destination, the xeneizes will first have to face their classic rival San Lorenzo.
The journey for the Argentinean team begins with the squad traveling to Potosí in a 150 km journey in 4x4 trucks, split into two different groups to meet at the destination. This is due to the lack of nearby airports to the area where the Bolivian club plays, requiring them to land in Sucre.
The match will be played at a daunting altitude of 4,000 meters at the Estadio Víctor Agustín Ugarte. After this, Boca will return to Sucre, spend the night there, then head back to Buenos Aires, and a day later, they will travel to Rosario for their match against Newell’s Old Boys.
The xeneizes will play three games in less than 10 days, traveling from one country to another, dealing with high altitude and facing important rivals. Against San Lorenzo, it's a final where they hold a difference of less than four points, followed by their Sudamericana debut and then returning to Rosario. The question is, can Boca overcome all these obstacles and secure a perfect 3 out of 3?
