Junior and Liga de Quito drew 1-1 despite generating clear goal-scoring opportunities and committing serious errors on the field. The goals were scored by Carlos Bacca from the penalty spot for the home team and Alex Arce for the visitors in the Copa Libertadores.

In the first half, Bacca put his team ahead in the 12th minute from the penalty spot. However, Liga de Quito responded and managed to equalize in the 45th minute, also from the penalty spot, thanks to an excellent strike by Arce.

In the second half, the intensity increased but neither team could gain an advantage. Junior missed a crucial opportunity from the penalty spot that cost them the victory.

With this result, Junior remains in first place in Group D with 5 points, while Liga de Quito sits in third place with 4 points.
