After losing their debut in the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores at home, Gremio was looking to turn things around against an underdog Huachipato. However, the surprise came from the visiting side as the Chileans clinched a 0-2 victory, with goals from Gonzalo Montes and Felipe Loyola.

Gremio couldn’t avoid the home defeat despite having four shots on target and enjoying 64% possession of the ball. They lacked effectiveness compared to Huachipato’s five shots on goal, two of which found the net for the win.

With this result, Gremio sinks to the bottom of Group C in the CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores with zero points, while Huachipato takes the lead in the group with four points.
