Club Nacional from Paraguay sought their qualification to the Copa Libertadores after losing in the first leg of the same against Aucas SD 1-0. At home, the Paraguayans sought to overturn the result to make the most of their home advantage and advance in the Copa Libertadores.

Aucas, which had been guarding the result and aiming to continue their good momentum after winning at home, fell back, giving the locals opportunities in space that they didn't waste. They quickly took the lead 12 minutes into the match, going into halftime with the overall score in their favor (2-1), having gone 2-0 up at home.

The second half saw Aucas pushing more to recover the overall score, resulting in more attacking play but also leaving gaps in defense, which Nacional capitalized on to seal the victory and advance to the second phase by scoring 3-0 and thus securing the match at home in their favor.

With this result, Aucas is eliminated from the Copa Libertadores, while Club Nacional will progress in the Libertadores after overturning the overall score at home, winning 3-0 and taking the aggregate score to 3-1.
