This is the Reason Why River Plate Wouldn't be Able to Land in Venezuela
Colombia will be River Plate's solution in the 2024 Copa Libertadores. It's the territory that will welcome the Argentineans before heading to Venezuela.
This is due to the political change with Javier Milei as the new president of Argentina. President Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela, lacking a close relationship, has prohibited airplanes with Argentine registrations from landing in his country.
River Plate explored various options, including seeking intervention from CONMEBOL. However, they will have to land in Colombia and then travel by land to Venezuela.
There, they will face Deportivo Táchira in their debut match on Tuesday, April 2, broadcast on beIN SPORTS. They are part of Group H alongside Libertad, Nacional, and Táchira.
