Al-Hilal managed to defeat the Group A leader 2-1 on Matchday 5 of the CAF Confederation Cup 2024, with goals from Amer Al Tawergi in the 14th minute and Al Taeb in the 50th minute. 

Despite USM Alger's constant attacks to equalize the match, they only managed to narrow the gap on the scoreboard with a goal from Oussama Chita. Al-Hilal emerged victorious against the toughest opponent in the group and still has chances to advance to the next round.
