First Star to Leave Bayer Leverkusen
Frimpong looks set to be Bayer Leverkusen's first casualty for the upcoming season.
Xabi Alonso's Bayer Leverkusen season has been historic, with a squad that has left the world in awe, managing to snatch the Bundesliga title from Bayern Munich and being on the verge of securing the Europa League and DFB Pokal titles.
However, Leverkusen's magnificent season has caught the eye of several teams, and according to the "Blind" newspaper, 23-year-old Jeremie Frimpong could be the first star to leave the German team next season, although any interested team will have to pay the $43.6 million buyout clause for the player.
The teams interested in the player are said to be Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, or Real Madrid. Now, any potential transfer for the player to another team will have to wait until Bayer Leverkusen plays the Europa League final against Atalanta and just a few days before the start of the Euro in Germany on June 14th.
