The club agreed with Tuchel to end their relationship at the end of this season, opening up the possibilities for his successor.
Initial favorites included Xabi Alonso, who renewed with Bayer Leverkusen, and Sebastian Hoeness, who renewed with Stuttgart, but both are now out of the running.
The possibility of the return of Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann was also considered, but he has stated his intention to remain in his current role after the Euro Cup.
Currently, several names are being considered, including Unai Emery, currently with Aston Villa, Roberto de Zerbi at Brighton, and Austria coach Ralf Rangnick, who is considered the favorite for his knowledge of the Bundesliga and language proficiency.
Demichelis played for Bayern from 2003 to 2010 and began his coaching career in the club's youth system, where he stayed from 2019 to 2022 before signing with River Plate in 2022 and winning the Argentine championship with the club in 2023.
