The Chelsea Drama Continues: Romeo Lavia Out for the Rest of the Season
The storm doesn't seem to be letting up for Chelsea. After a disappointing season (currently tenth in the Premier League with 39 points), their signings have also failed to live up to expectations.
Now, one of their most recent acquisitions will be sidelined for the rest of the season. And to think that in the current campaign, he had only played 32 minutes!
It's Roméo Lavia, who arrived at the London club for a significant sum of $62 million. Coming from Southampton, Lavia sustained an injury against Crystal Palace last December.
For Mauricio Pochettino's team, the worst part is that the Belgian midfielder was already injured shortly after his arrival. Consequently, his debut was delayed until the end of the year, and after several examinations following his second injury, it was determined that he will not play again for at least the remainder of the season.
