Neymar Would Be Very Close to Returning to Play for Al Hilal
Brazilian star Neymar da Silva, winger for Saudi club Al Hilal, has entered the final stage of his recovery to return to the field after suffering a cruciate ligament rupture last October.
Samer Al Shahrani, a specialist physiotherapist in joint and muscle injuries and close to Al Hilal, stated on his X account that the player has entered the "most important stage of the recovery process," with the goal of strengthening his muscles before starting the solo training phase.
Neymar has appeared in recent videos and photos on the Saudi club's social media, continuing his recovery path in the team's gym.
Saudi media had assured that Neymar would return to the stadiums in July 2024, with the start of the new season, but his health has improved faster than expected.
While the Brazilian national team could benefit from Neymar's return, especially with the Copa America approaching in June.
Brazil's national team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, had confirmed in previous statements that Neymar is improving but expects his return between July and August.
Neymar only played in 5 matches for Al Hilal, after joining from Paris Saint-Germain for $96 million, before suffering the injury that ended his season during his participation with the Brazilian national team against Uruguay in the South American qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
