Lautaro: "My childhood idol was Falcao"
Argentinian Lautaro Martínez, captain of the Inter Milan team that won the 'Scudetto', declared this Sunday that his childhood idol was Colombian Radamel Falcao, a player who "inspired" him in every aspect.
"Football has always been there, since my beginnings. And my idol was Falcao, a forward who inspired me with his way of living and playing," he commented to Inter's official channels.
"As a child, I liked studying mathematics and biology, I liked numbers," revealed the 'Nerazzurri' captain.
The nickname 'Toro' (bull), he revealed, came from his time in Argentina: "I earned the nickname at Racing, two teammates gave it to me when I arrived because they said I kicked hard, that I had a lot of power, and that I was difficult to stop. That's where 'Toro' was born."
"I left home at 15-16 years old chasing a dream, and step by step, I achieved many goals that I had always desired. Every stage and every departure has been precious: the first goal with Racing, the first with the national team, the first with Inter... Since I arrived in Milan, I found people who loved me and helped me, and fans who supported us everywhere with the same strength," he added."
