Juventus Sack Allegri
Juventus announced the dismissal of Italian coach Massimiliano Allegri this Friday due to his behavior during the Coppa Italia final, which Juventus won against Atalanta (1-0). Allegri was expelled and threatened the director of an Italian newspaper during the match.
"Juventus announces that it has relieved Massimiliano Allegri of his position as coach of the men's first team," the club stated.
"The dismissal is due to certain behaviors during and after the Coppa Italia final that the club considered incompatible with Juventus' values and the conduct expected of its representatives," explained Juventus.
This marks the end of Allegri's second stint with the club: "This concludes a period of collaboration that began in 2014, resumed in 2021, and ended after the last three seasons along with the Coppa Italia final," noted the 'Vecchia Signora.'
Allegri was sent off during the added time of the Coppa Italia final after several protests, leading to an excessive reaction.
It remains to be seen who will take charge of the team for the remaining two Serie A matches, where Juventus will face Monza and Bologna, coached by Thiago Motta, whose name is strongly rumored to be the next coach in Turin.
