Deschamps 'Disappointed' by Jeers Aimed at Kylian Mbappé
Kylian Mbappé was booed at the Vélodrome during the friendly match between France and Chile. This is what the French coach said about it.
France's coach, Didier Deschamps, expressed feeling "disappointed" by the jeers against Kylian Mbappé during Tuesday's friendly match between France and Chile in Marseille, stating it is "something that shouldn't happen."
"I'll be polite. The jeers directed at Mbappé are disappointing, to say the least," lamented Deschamps, as reported by the local press on Wednesday.
He referred to the whistles that some fans at the Velodrome stadium directed at the French captain for being emblematic of PSG, a club that is a rival of Olympique de Marseille.

"Unfortunately, I'm not surprised. Everyone knows the rivalry with PSG, and there's a match on Sunday," added the French coach, who was a player and coach for Marseille.
Mbappé had a modest performance, losing possession of the ball 11 times out of the 51 he had, overshadowed by the assist he provided to Youssouf Fofana for France's second goal in the narrow 3-2 victory over Chile.
