It seems that the rivalry between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is far from over, as despite both being in the twilight of their careers, the legendary forwards now battle to see who will have more goals.

While Messi leads in Ballon d'Or awards with eight compared to Ronaldo's five, Cristiano is the leader in the number of goals scored. Ronaldo has 891 goals compared to Messi's 833.

This would give Cristiano an advantage of 58 goals over Messi. CR7 scored 450 of those goals with Real Madrid, 145 with Manchester United, 128 with Portugal, 62 with his current club Al Nassr, and five with Sporting Club.

On the other hand, Messi, despite not being a pure striker, scored 672 goals with Barcelona, 102 with Argentina, 32 with PSG, and currently with Inter Miami, Messi has already scored 23 goals.
