Arturo Vidal: "I Would Have Liked to Play for Real Madrid"
Arturo Vidal opened up and admitted that he would have liked to be part of the Real Madrid team at some point in his career.
The Chilean, currently playing for Colo Colo, took the time to answer some questions for TNT Sports, one of which was about which team he would have liked to play for at some point in his career. He also revealed the toughest club he has faced.
Vidal has played for several top European teams such as Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Inter Milan; however, there was one he didn't play for but confessed he would have liked to. "It could have been Real Madrid," said the Chilean. As a side note, Arturo Vidal was close to signing with the Spanish side in the summer of 2015.
However, the history between Arturo Vidal and Real Madrid was always filled with controversies, especially during his time at Bayern, notably in the quarter-finals in 2017, when the midfielder was sent off and was one of
the factors for the German team's elimination from the Champions League. After this incident, Vidal commented, "this kind of robbery can't happen in the Champions League."
On the other hand, apart from playing with Barcelona, he has played against them and stated that they are the toughest team he has faced. "The toughest team was the Barcelona of 2015. They beat us in the Champions League final," said Vidal.
