Tunisia and Mali shared points in their encounter at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, corresponding to Matchday 2 of Group E in the AFCON. The result wasn't the best for the "Carthage Eagles," as they were coming off a 0-1 loss to Namibia.

Things didn't look promising for the Tunisians as Lassine Sinayoko opened the scoring in the 10th minute of the match. However, Tunisia showed a good capacity for a comeback, equalizing just 10 minutes later through a fantastic team play finished by Hamza Rafia in the 20th minute.

With this result, Tunisia only secures one point in their group and sits in the third position. They will need a victory against South Africa to have a chance of advancing to the Round of 16. Meanwhile, Mali remains in the top spot, well on their way to the next round.
