Group E of AFCON 2023 has been completely defined, and this 0-0 draw between South Africa and Tunisia resulted in one of the biggest surprises of the competition. Tunisians were eliminated in the group stage, finishing at the bottom of the group.

In the course of the match, played at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium, very few emotions were experienced, with only two shots on target from each team. Possession was also evenly matched, with Tunisia having 55% ball control against South Africa's 45%.

Thanks to this result, South Africa advances to the Round of 16 with four points, along with the group leader Mali (five points) and Namibia, who advances as the best third-placed team. Meanwhile, Tunisia failed to win a single match, finishing last with two points and being eliminated in the group stage for the first time since 2013.
