Nigeria secured a narrow victory over the Angola national team (1-0) in a Quarterfinal match of AFCON 2023. Despite being superior to their opponents, the Angolan team did not give up, and they came close to securing a spot in the Semifinals.

The only goal of the match came from Ademola Lookman in the 41st minute, assisted by Moses Simón. Victor Osimhen scored in the 76th minute, but VAR disallowed it due to an offside position.

With this result, the Super Eagles advanced to the Semifinals of the competition for the 16th time in their history, awaiting the winner between South Africa and Cape Verde.
