DR Congo and Zambia Tie in AFCON 2023
The Group F of AFCON 2023 saw a lot of action today, following Morocco's convincing 3-0 victory over Tanzania. The Democratic Republic of Congo and Zambia shared points in a tightly contested match that ended 1-1.
The first goal of the game came in the 23rd minute of the first half when, after a poor clearance by goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi, forward Kings Kangwa opened the scoring for his team (Zambia).
It took just a few minutes for RD Congo to level the match, as Yoane Wissa found the net for RD Congo, equalizing the game in the 28th minute, still in the first half.
RD Congo will face Morocco in the second match of Group F next Sunday, January 21, while Zambia will take on Tanzania on the same day.
