Lookman vs. Dala: Duel of "Killers" in Nigeria vs Angola
Angola and Nigeria will star in one of the most exciting matches of the current Africa Cup of Nations. However, the focus will be on the battle in the attack, in the duel between Ademola Lookman (Nigeria) and Gelson Dala (Angola).
For "The Antelopes", Gelson Dala's great moment, along with the impressive performance they have shown, is their best introduction for the upcoming match. After his brace against Namibia, he is the top scorer (with four goals) of Angola in a single AFCON edition, equaling Manucho, who achieved it in 2008.
Gelson Dala has everything to make history, as if he manages to score in the game against Nigeria, he would equal the current top scorer of the AFCON, Emilio Nsue, and join the list of players who have scored five or more goals in an AFCON edition, consisting of: Toko Ekambi, Aboubakar, Samuel Eto'o, Gedo, and Ighalo.
Meanwhile, Ademola Lookman, after scoring his first goals in the Africa Cup of Nations in the round of 16 against Cameroon, could become the fourth Nigerian to score three or more goals in the knockout rounds of a single AFCON edition, after Odion Ighalo in 2019, Jay-Jay Okocha in 2004, and Rashidi Yekini in 1994.
