Canelo Álvarez vs David Benavidez set for 2024
Boxing champ Saúl "Canelo" Álvarez has a long waiting list, with top fighters eagerly eyeing a shot at the title. Among them is another Mexican, David Benavidez, who's been calling out Canelo all year, itching for his chance.
Though Canelo and his team have turned down this fight numerous times, MVS Radio reports that this bout is now slated for 2024.
The showdown would be one of three fights the Jalisco boxer aims to have this year, all at 168 pounds. The first bout is set against Jermall Charlo in May, followed by Benavidez in September, and a final match at year's end, potentially against Jaime Munguía as another contender.
Stay tuned for the announcement of Canelo's first opponent on May 4th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
