David Benavidez Warns "Canelo": "I Knock Him Out"
"Canelo" Álvarez sparked the ring by declaring that in one night he could fight against Jaime Munguía and David Benavidez, to which the "Mexican Monster" responded to the Jalisco native during the press conference to promote his fight against Oleksandr Gvozdyk.
"He's running out of excuses. He says that all I bring are 25 pounds more and that I'm worth nothing, but he's asking for $200 million dollars and now he wants to fight me on the same night... That's #%#^%#, just tell people you don't want to fight me. To me, it seems like you're afraid," Benavidez asserted.
"I've always given 'Canelo' credit. I think he's a very good fighter, a legend too, but I did my job. I've been the WBC mandatory challenger for three years and he doesn't want to give me the fight," Benavidez added in a chat with Upper-Box.
Finally, and after some harsh criticism of the WBC, he left a strong statement against "Canelo".
"I knock him out. It's going to be a very difficult fight, but I believe 100% in what I can do, and I knock him out."
