The draw has been made for the 2018 edition of the Qatar tournament
The Draw has been made for the 2018 Qatar ExxonMobil Open. The ATP 250 event, is one of the season opener tournaments for the year made the draw on Saturday evening with the event to take place from the 1st to the 6th of January.
One notable absentee from the draw was last year’s winner and former world number 1, Novak Djokovic who earlier in the day announced his withdrawal from the competition after failing to shake off an elbow injury.
In the absence of Djokovic, Austrian Dominic Theim is the number one seed in the competition and he has been drawn with Russian competitor Evgeny Donskoy. Other highlights in the draw will see fifth seed Richard Gasquet take on Víctor Estrella Burgos, Czech star Tomáš Berdych facing German player Jan-Lennard Struff.
