Bencic pulls out of French Open
A back injury continues to plague Belinda Bencic, who has withdrawn from the French Open as a result.
Belinda Bencia will play no part at the upcoming French Open as the world number eight continues to battle with a back problem.
The Swiss has not featured on the WTA Tour since defeat to Elena Vesnina in the last 32 in Charleston in early April.
She was forced to pull out of the Madrid Open with the issue, which has not cleared up in time for her to feature at Roland Garros.
Bencic's place in the draw will be taken by American Lauren Davis. The tournament gets under way on Sunday.
