Man United will be looking to arrest their slump in the league when they face off against Chelsea on Sunday afternoon. A fourth consecutive defeat for the Red Devils would halt their Champions League ambitions and leave plenty of questions for Ole Gunnar Solskjær.
Last time out United was comprehensively outclassed by rivals Manchester City 2-0. Despite starting defensively against Pep Guardiola’s champions-elect United was bombarded in the second half and eventually lost thanks to goals from Bernardo Silva & Leroy Sane.
Sunday's clash with Chelsea is the last chance for Manchester United to stake their place in the Champions League, and the pressure is on Solskjær amid the backdrop of frustration from the United faithful. Of course, more pressing for the Norwegian boss will be potential summer signings and the result on the weekend could have a drastic say on his sides transfer business.
In team news, Ander Herrera is poised to return to first team action after recovering from a hamstring complaint. Phil Jones is still a doubt after being substituted in the 4-0 defeat to Everton, whilst Antonio Valencia & Eric Bailly are likely not to play a part.
Manchester United Predicted Team
De Gea; Young, Smalling, Lindelof, Shaw; Herrera, Matic, Pogba; Lingard; Rashford, Lukaku

As for Chelsea, they missed out on a huge opportunity to open up a gap on fifth-placed Arsenal heading into the final three games of the season. A victory against Burnley at Stamford Bridge could have opened up a four-point gap against the gunners, however, they had to settle for a 2-2 draw against the Clarets much to the frustration of Maurizio Sarri. For now, the Blues have the final Champions League place but are under pressure from Arsenal.
The Blues away form has been patchy, to say the least, this season and have two wins and five defeats away suggest there is plenty of improvement for Sarri next season. Still, the Italian boss will be pressing on his side that they need to get the victory to knock United out of the top four race.
Chelsea will be without teenage winger Callum Hudson-Odoi who picked up an Achilles injury earlier in the week. Whilst N’Golo Kante will be facing a late fitness test after injuring his back against Burnley. German defender Antonio Rudiger should be back in contention after missing out the last two weeks, which is a huge boost for the Blues backline.
Chelsea Predicted Team
Kepa; Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Emerson; Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic; Pedro, Higuain, Hazard
