Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho is injured and will likely miss Brazil's friendly against Japan in Lille on Friday but still could feature against England, the team doctor said.
"Coutinho has sustained a small injury in his left thigh," the doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, was quoted by Brazilian publication Globo Esportes on Tuesday. "The chances that he will play against Japan are small, but we are working to make him available against England."
After the encounter with Japan, Brazil play England at Wembley on Tuesday the 14th of November. Lasmar did also add that the Liverpool midfielder could have a said there was a chance that, against Japan, Coutinho "could be on the bench and play a few minutes."
The Brazil squad has been preparing in Paris for the two matches. The Verde-Amarela have also announced scheduled training sessions at the Parc des Princes, home of national team captain Neymar who joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
