FIFA Announces Ticket Sale Date and Prices for the 2026 World Cup
FIFA confirmed that the first ticket sales phase for the 2026 World Cup will begin on September 29, with prices starting at $60 for group stage matches and reaching up to $6,730 for the final.
First Phase of Sales Begins
The countdown to the 2026 World Cup is officially underway. FIFA announced that the first ticket sales phase will open on September 29, starting with the Visa preferred draw. Fans who register will enter a random selection process, with winners notified by email from that date. Each selected applicant will receive a specific time slot to purchase tickets, although availability is not guaranteed.
This initial stage will offer individual match tickets for all 104 games, as well as venue-specific and team-specific packages. Group stage tickets will start at $60, while the most exclusive seats for the final will cost as much as $6,730.
Additional Phases and Official Resale
FIFA outlined that several additional ticketing phases will follow to meet the massive demand. The second phase is scheduled between October 27 and 31, featuring a similar registration and lottery process, with winners allowed to purchase tickets between mid-November and early December. A third phase will begin after the final tournament draw, allowing fans to request tickets for specific matches once group stage pairings are known. In the final months before the competition, a first-come, first-served sales stage will open for remaining tickets.
Further options will also be introduced as the tournament approaches, including fan tickets—designed for supporters who want to sit together—and conditional tickets, which secure a seat if their team advances to the knockout stages.
Later this year, FIFA will also launch an official resale platform at FIFA.com/tickets, providing fans with a safe and reliable exchange system to combat unauthorized or illegal resale. In Mexico, residents will also be able to use FIFA’s official ticket exchange service.
Premium Experiences and Official Advice
For fans seeking a more exclusive experience, hospitality packages are already available at FIFA.com/hospitality, including tickets and added services. The organization reminded fans that tickets purchased outside official channels may not be valid, urging supporters to buy only through FIFA.com/tickets.
The 2026 World Cup, hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, promises to be the biggest edition in history, with 48 national teams and 104 matches.
