Randal Kolo Muani crashes Ferrari before Tottenham’s Champions League trip
The French forward was involved in a road incident on his way to the airport, just hours before Spurs travel for their European clash.
Incident on the way to the airport
Randal Kolo Muani, remembered worldwide for the one-on-one denied by Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez in the dying moments of the 2022 World Cup final, was involved in a car accident on Tuesday while traveling to Stansted Airport.
The Tottenham forward was heading to the airport after training as the squad prepared to fly to Frankfurt for Wednesday’s Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Tire failure caused the crash
According to reports in England, the incident occurred after the front-right tire of Kolo Muani’s Ferrari Purosangue, valued at approximately €350,000, suddenly burst.
The blowout caused the vehicle to lose control, resulting in significant damage. The windshield was cracked, the airbags deployed, and the front end of the car sustained visible impact.
Odobert stopped to assist
Wilson Odobert, who was traveling in a separate vehicle behind Kolo Muani, witnessed the incident and immediately stopped to assist his teammate and ensure he was unharmed.
British media clarified that the crash did not involve another vehicle and that there was no collision between the two Tottenham players.
Tottenham downplay the situation
In his pre-match press conference, Thomas Frank addressed the situation and described it as a “minor accident,” confirming that both Kolo Muani and Odobert are fit and available.
The Tottenham head coach reassured that the incident will have no impact on the squad’s preparations ahead of their crucial Champions League encounter in Germany.
Focus shifts back to Europe
With the situation resolved and no injuries reported, Tottenham now turn their full attention to the trip to Frankfurt, where they face a demanding European test against Eintracht.
For Kolo Muani, the scare remains just an off-field episode—one that ends without consequences as Spurs continue their Champions League campaign.
