Max Dowman, the young Arsenal midfielder, became the youngest player ever to appear in a Champions League match, at just 15 years and 308 days. His debut came in Arsenal’s 3-0 win over Slavia Prague, when he came on in the 73rd minute to replace Leandro Trossard.

With that appearance, the Englishman broke the previous record held by Youssoufa Moukoko, who debuted for Borussia Dortmund in 2020 at 16 years and 18 days. Completing the historic podium is Lamine Yamal of Barcelona, who made his debut at 16 years and 68 days.
