A new edition of the Spanish Super Cup gets underway this Wednesday in Saudi Arabia, as Barcelona take on Athletic Club in the opening semifinal. The winner will advance to face whoever emerges victorious from Atlético Madrid vs Real Madrid.

Lamine Yamal did not train on Tuesday, and head coach Hansi Flick chose to leave him on the bench to avoid any risks. His place in attack was taken by Swedish forward Roony Bardghji.
On the other side, Athletic Club, coached by Ernesto Valverde, also did not start Nico Williams, who has endured an inconsistent season.
When is the Spanish Super Cup final?
The second semifinal of the Spanish Super Cup is scheduled for Thursday at 2:00 PM ET.
The Madrid derby will take place at King Abdullah Sports City, where the second finalist of the tournament will be decided.
The Spanish Super Cup Final will be played on Sunday, December 11.
