Mohamed Salah has signed a two-year deal with Trabzonspor, the Turkish club have announced.

Salah joins Trabzonspor after nine seasons with Liverpool, where he made 442 appearances before leaving as a free agent this summer.

The 34-year-old scored 257 goals for the Reds, a tally only bettered by Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (257), and provided 120 assists.

His 191 goals and 93 assists in the Premier League are both records for any Liverpool player, and he won the competition twice, in 2019-20 and 2024-25.

The forward also won the Champions League, FA Cup, EFL Cup and Club World Cup during his time on Merseyside, and he will now take his talents to Trabzonspor.

Trabzonspor finished third in the Turkish Super Lig last season, clinching a Europa League qualification spot.

Their 2026-27 campaign begins on August 15 on the road against Kasimpasa, while Salah could make his home league debut on August 23 against Istanbul Basaksehir.

His new team-mates include the likes of Andre Onana, who is on loan from Manchester United, and Sidny Lopes Cabral, who scored the goal of the tournament at the 2026 World Cup, in Cape Verde's extra-time defeat to Argentina in the round of 32.
