The Rosario-born striker confirmed his departure through an emotional message shared on social media, reflecting on the four years he spent wearing the Istanbul club’s jersey.
“Four years ago I arrived without knowing that life was taking me toward one of the most beautiful stories I would ever live,” wrote the former Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan forward.
The farewell instantly generated thousands of reactions from Galatasaray supporters, who consider Icardi one of the club’s most important players in recent years.
