Colombian defender Dávinson Sánchez played a key role as Galatasaray came from behind to defeat Göztepe 3-2 at RAMS Park in Matchday 3 of the Turkish Süper Lig.
The visitors shocked Galatasaray early in the match when Novatus Miroshi opened the scoring in the 16th minute, giving Göztepe an unexpected advantage.
However, the team managed by Okan Buruk responded before halftime. In the 33rd minute, Dávinson Sánchez found the back of the net to level the score and spark Galatasaray's comeback. The Colombian defender's goal proved to be a turning point for the home side.
Galatasaray continued their momentum after the break. Gabriel Sara completed the turnaround by scoring in the 55th minute, while Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen extended the lead from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute.
Göztepe refused to surrender, though, and Juan Santos scored just two minutes later to make it 3-2, setting up a tense finish at RAMS Park.
