The Turkish Süper Lig has a new leading scorer.
Gift Orban reached ten league goals after finding the net in Amed SK's 4-3 defeat to Galatasaray.
The Nigerian striker scored with a 65th-minute header to make it 3-2, keeping his side in contention during an entertaining seven-goal encounter.
His effort was not enough to prevent defeat for Amed SK, but it did move him ahead of fellow Nigerian Victor Osimhen in the race for the league's Golden Boot.
Both players had entered the weekend level on nine goals. Orban now holds the lead outright.
Victor Osimhen Undergoes Surgery and Remains on Nine Goals
While Orban continues to find the net, Victor Osimhen faces a spell on the sidelines.
The Galatasaray striker has undergone surgery on his left knee after suffering an injury during the UEFA Champions League match against Stuttgart.
Medical examinations revealed a loose fragment inside the joint, prompting an arthroscopic procedure.
Osimhen remains on nine goals and three assists in eight Süper Lig appearances.
No return date has been confirmed, leaving the Nigerian unable to respond immediately to Orban's latest goal.
Trabzonspor's Salah Has a Chance to Close the Gap
Another player remains within striking distance of the new leader.
Trabzonspor forward Salah has eight league goals, two fewer than Orban.
He will have an opportunity to close that gap when Trabzonspor visit Alanyaspor on Sunday, November 8, at 10:30 AM ET.
A brace would bring Salah level with Orban, while three goals would put him ahead.
With Osimhen recovering from surgery, Sunday's fixture offers another opportunity for the scoring race to change.
