Napoli cannot wait until final game to secure top four spot, says Rrahmani
Napoli could all but secure their place in next season's Champions League with a win over already relegated Pisa on Sunday.
Napoli defender Amir Rrahmani has urged his team-mates to qualify for the Champions League before their final game in Serie A this season.
Antonio Conte's side are currently second in the Serie A, but just three points ahead of fifth-placed Roma heading into the final two matchdays of the campaign.
Napoli have won just one of their last five Serie A matches (D2 L2) and, after their 2-3 defeat to Bologna last time out, could lose two consecutive league games for the first time since December 2023 (against Inter and Juventus on that occasion).
Napoli face Pisa at Stadio Romeo Anconetani on Sunday, and victory could all but secure their place in the Champions League for next season.
Pisa are already relegated from the Italian top-flight, having won just once since the turn of the year.
Although Rrahmani acknowledged Napoli's injury woes this season, he insisted they must still finish the season "on a high note".
"The match against Pisa is very important; we know we need three points to secure the Champions League," Rrahmani told RadioCRC.
"This year has been unique in many ways, especially because of the injuries and the many solutions we've had to find. It wasn't an easy situation to manage.
"Against Pisa, it will be a match point we must capitalise on; we can't wait until the last game to achieve our goal.
"We've been consistently at the top of the table all year, and it would be a shame not to finish the season on a high note.
"Pisa enters the match with no obligation to win - they're already relegated - but everything depends on us and how we approach this match."
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Pisa – Stefano Moreo
Stefano Moreo is Pisa's top scorer in Serie A this season with six goals; with one more goal, he would draw level with Giuseppe Incocciati (seven goals in 1988-89) and Paolo Baldieri (seven goals in 1985-86) in third place among the club's best Italian scorers in a season.
Napoli – Alisson Santos
Since his debut for Napoli in February, Alisson Santos has scored four goals in Serie A (all at home), the most among the Partenopei players in that period.
Furthermore, since his debut in the competition (MD25), he has completed the most successful take-ons (30) and attempted the most shots following a carry (16) in the Italian top-flight.
MATCH PREDICTION – NAPOLI WIN
After avoiding defeat in six of their first eight Serie A matches against Napoli (W3 D3), Pisa have lost five of their last seven league encounters against them (D2), including a 0-2 forfeit in September 1987.
Napoli are unbeaten in their last five Serie A away matches against Pisa (W2 D3 - including a 2-0 awarded victory in September 1987), after losing their first two away games against them in the competition.
This will be only the fifth time in top-flight history that the Partenopei have faced a side they are at least 52 points ahead of, and they have never lost in the previous four such encounters (W3 D1).
Pisa, meanwhile, have lost each of their last seven Serie A matches; the last team to record a longer consecutive losing streak in a single edition of the competition was Hellas Verona, who reached 10 between September and November 2022.
Pisa have also lost 12 of their 18 home matches played in Serie A this season, with no other team in the top 10 European leagues in 2025-26 having a worse record (Verona also 12).
OPTA WIN PROBABILITY
Pisa – 13.5%
Draw – 19.8%
Napoli – 66.7%
