Estrela Amadora vs. Braga | HIGHLIGHTS | Stoica brace sparks comeback and ends unbeaten run

Estrela da Amadora showed it means business this Liga Portugal season, coming from behind to beat Braga 2-1 and bring its opponent's unbeaten run to an end. Ianis Stoica stole the spotlight at the Estadio Complexo Desportivo de Alverca, scoring both goals to turn an early deficit into an impressive victory.

Braga needed only five minutes to take the lead, but Estrela absorbed the early blow, pulled level before halftime and completed the turnaround shortly after the restart.

Braga punishes a mistake before Estrela responds

Trouble while playing out from the back opened the door for Braga's opener. Rafa Soares lost possession and Mario Dorgeles reacted quickly to launch the attack.

The move continued through Fran Navarro and Pau Víctor before Gabriel Martínez took over. He brought the ball under control, shifted toward the middle and sent his finish toward the far post beyond Léo Linck for the fifth-minute opener.

Estrela worked its way back into the contest and finally found its reward just before halftime.

Eddy Doué and Max Scholze combined down the right before the ball was driven low into the penalty area. Stoica timed his arrival perfectly and finished the move to make it 1-1 in the 45th minute.

Stoica strikes again to complete the turnaround

Halftime did little to slow the Romanian forward.

Eleven minutes after the restart, Stoica found himself in scoring position again and this time used his head to beat the Braga defense and find the net.

His second goal of the night in the 56th minute transformed Braga's early advantage into a 2-1 lead for Estrela Amadora.

The hosts had opportunities to add another, but Bernardo Fontes produced a key intervention to prevent the deficit from growing.
