'It's an amazing feeling' - Wilson revels in 'extra special' last-gasp matchwinner
Fulham moved up to seventh place in the Premier League table, thanks to Harry Wilson's last-gasp heroics against Brighton on Saturday.
Harry Wilson revelled in an "amazing feeling" after his stoppage-time free-kick secured Fulham's dramatic victory over Brighton.
The in-form Wales international was the hero once again at Craven Cottage, curling in a stunning 25-yard free-kick in the 92nd minute as the hosts snatched all three points at the death.
It was Wilson's 11th direct goal involvement in the Premier League since the start of November (seven goals, four assists), with only Erling Haaland (12) registering more during that time.
His strike also boosted Fulham's European hopes, with Marco Silva's side climbing up to seventh place in the Premier League table.
"Every goal you score is great, but from that far out to get all three points is extra special," Wilson said. "I've had a really good run of form from the end of November until now and, as an attacker, you are judged on these numbers.
"When you are helping the team with goals and assists, it is an amazing feeling.
"We're all delighted in the dressing room. We went on a good run of form then were really disappointed with the result and performance at Leeds [1-0 defeat last weekend].
"Last season, we broke the club-record points total in the Premier League, and that was a testament to ourselves. Before the season started, we would have liked to go one better, so if that gets us into Europe, even better."
Meanwhile, Brighton's wait for a first Premier League victory at Craven Cottage continues, with the Seagulls now having failed in all six of their attempts.
Fabian Hurzeler's side led through Yasin Ayari's stunning first-half strike, but could not hold on for what would have been just a second win in 10 Premier League games.
"That's football. Sometimes, football is brutal and the better team loses," Hurzeler said. "We controlled the things we could control. Regarding the performance, it was one of the best we have played.
"Overall, we defended really good in the game, we controlled the game, but that's football – you have to understand it.
"Some people might be worried, but I see the team sticking together. Sometimes, you need luck in football and we need to get that luck back. You can't complain, you have to keep working."
