Chelsea Let Manchester United Know That Cole Palmer Is Untouchable
Chelsea Declare Cole Palmer “Untouchable” Amid Manchester United Rumors
Chelsea FC have taken a firm stance on the future of Cole Palmer, one of their standout attacking players. The club considers the England international “untouchable”, despite recent reports in the British media linking him with a potential exit from Stamford Bridge and a move to Manchester United.
Blues head coach Liam Rosenior shut down the speculation when asked about Palmer’s situation ahead of Chelsea’s Champions League clash against Napoli.
“He’s untouchable and very happy. It’s as simple as that. There is no truth to those rumors,” the English manager stated.
Palmer is viewed as a cornerstone of Chelsea’s long-term project and remains under contract until 2033. The club has no intention of allowing him to leave, despite claims suggesting the player was unsettled in London or open to a return to Manchester.
“It’s unrealistic speculation with no basis. We speak with him regularly about how to improve the team and help him grow, because he loves being here and wants to be a Chelsea player,” Rosenior emphasized.
The 23-year-old joined Chelsea in 2023 from Manchester City in a deal worth approximately £40 million. Since then, he has delivered impressive numbers, recording 41 goals and 20 assists in 81 official appearances, establishing himself as one of the most influential players in the squad.
This season, Palmer has dealt with several injury setbacks, including groin discomfort, a fractured little toe, and more recently a thigh injury, which kept him out of Chelsea’s 3–1 win over Crystal Palace last weekend. However, he is expected to return for the crucial match against Napoli, as Chelsea push to finish among the top eight and secure direct qualification for the Champions League round of 16.
