Besiktas sign Abraham on permanent deal ahead of imminent Aston Villa move
Tammy Abraham's Aston Villa move drew closer after Besiktas signed the striker permanently from Roma ahead of his return to England.
Besiktas have confirmed the permanent signing of Tammy Abraham from Roma as the striker now prepares to join Aston Villa.
Abraham was loaned to Besiktas for the 2025-26 season, with the Turkish club having the option to buy the 28-year-old for £11.2m (€13m).
The English forward has scored 12 goals in 24 games for Besiktas, but is now set for a reported £18m move to former club Villa, where he spent the 2018-19 campaign on loan from Chelsea.
He joined Roma from the Blues in 2021, scoring 39 goals in 120 games, and helped them win the Conference League in 2022.
Abraham scored 26 goals and provided three assists during his time at Villa, playing a crucial role in their promotion back to the Premier League.
"The conditions in the transfer contract of Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham have been fulfilled and the provision for the permanent transfer of the player has come into effect," said Besiktas.
"In this context, a transfer fee of 13m euros will be paid to AS Roma."
