Polish PKO BP Ekstraklasa: Round 33: Lech Crowned Again, Czubak close to Golden Boot
Round 33 had everything Ekstraklasa fans could ask for: a title celebration in Radom, heartbreak in Gdynia, stunning goals, and a relegation battle that will go down to the final weekend.
29 goals were scored in nine games (3.22 goals per game), with one home win, six away victories, and two draws.
Karol Czubak’s brace gave the Polish striker sole possession of the Golden Boot race lead. Lechia Gdańsk’s Tomas Bobcek also found the net, but now trails Czubak by one goal with one match remaining.
Bartosz Nowak recorded a goal and an assist as GKS Katowice drew 2-2 against Jagiellonia Białystok.
Legia Warszawa secured their third straight victory with a dramatic 2-1 win in Gdańsk thanks to Antonio Colak’s injury-time goal.
Lech Repeat, Arka Joins Termalica
Luis Palma scored and added an assist, while Mikael Ishak netted his 16th goal of the season as Lech Poznań clinched back-to-back league titles with a 3-1 victory over Radomiak Radom.
It was Kolejorz’s 10th league championship and only the third successful title defense in club history. The team from Poznań will now aim to reach the UEFA Champions League group stage for the first time ever. No Polish side has advanced through the qualifiers since Legia Warszawa in the 2016-17 season.
Meanwhile, in Gdynia, Arka needed a victory over Termalica Bruk-Bet Nieciecza to stay alive. Despite leading 2-1 in the 52nd minute, the home side collapsed late and conceded a dramatic stoppage-time winner.
The defeat stunned the crowd and confirmed Arka’s immediate return to BetClick 1. Liga alongside Termalica.
Wonder Goals Everywhere Across Poland
Spectacular goals lit up stadiums throughout Poland during the weekend.

In Gliwice, Marko Bulat scored a sensational free kick while Patryk Dziczek curled home a long-range strike. Damian Hilbrycht thrilled fans in Gdynia, and Mateusz Klich opened the scoring in style for Cracovia.
However, it was Borja Galan and especially Dawid Błanik who stole the spotlight. The Korona Kielce midfielder delivered a thunderous free kick that secured a crucial victory over Widzew Łódź.
Final Round Drama Awaits
One round remains and several clubs still have everything to play for.
Lechia Gdańsk can only guarantee survival with a win over Termalica. Cracovia needs just one point at home against Korona Kielce.
The biggest showdown will take place in Łódź, where Widzew Łódź hosts Piast Gliwice in a direct survival battle. If Lechia wins, the loser of that match will be relegated from the Ekstraklasa.
